Bangladeshi infiltrator dies in custody

PATNA: A Bangladesh infiltrator who was being externed to his country under police custody died on his way here on Wednesday. Riyazuddin was part of the group of 72 who had been arrested in Delhi and was being transported by the Bramhaputra Mail under custody of the Delhi police.

He however took ill at Buxar but no appropriate medical attention could be provided there.

Even though doctors had been arranged here, his condition deteriorated and he was pronounced dead.

The escorting police party disembarked his family members and took the others to Malda where they would be handed over to Bangladeshi authorities.
