Two held on cheating charges
NEW DELHI: Two persons have been arrested at Timarpur here for allegedly cheating people by posing as representatives of a cellular company and offering non-existing schemes.
According to the police, Suneel Kumar (22) and his 18-year-old friend would offer ordinary pre-paid connections of Vodafone cellular company for Rs.799 per connection saying that the connection offered free talk-time of Rs.1,300 and unlimited messages for two years. The connection was provided against fake ID cards and thus it never got activated.
The two were arrested over the weekend following a complaint by one Sonu to whom they had made a similar offer.
