Resignation sought

GULBARGA: Senior vice-president of the State unit of the Janata Dal (Union) Basavaraj Ingin on Thursday demanded the resignation of party president B. Somasekhar to make way for the former Deputy Chief Minister M.P. Prakash to take over the post. In a statement, Mr. Ingin pointed out that Mr. Somasekhar had been functioning as the party president since 2004 . In the interest of the party, Mr. Somasekhar should invite Mr.Prakash to the party, Mr. Ingin said.
