KASARAGOD: One person was killed and another injured when a lorry which lost control rammed into a hillock in Badiadka in the district on Thursday. The police said the deceased had been identified as Vijayendra, 35, the driver of the ill-fated lorry. Mr. Vijayendra is a native of Chikmangalore in Karnataka. His helper Chinnappa, 27, native of Belthangadi, Karnataka was seriously injured in the accident. Mr. Chinnappa has been admitted to a hospital. The lorry was carrying tomatoes from Karnataka to Kannur. — Staff Reporter
