ALAPPUZHA: Two people were killed in a road accident in the town here on Thursday. The victims were identified as K.S. Jayan, 47, a resident of Sanathanam Ward and K.P. Dayanandan, 56, a resident of Thookukulam. The accident occurred when the two-wheeler they were riding was caught between two private buses near the Government Girls High School at 3 p.m. Though the two were rushed to the General Hospital, Alappuzha, they succumbed to the injuries while undergoing treatment. — Staff Reporter
