Ghaziabad: A man was arrested here for allegedly murdering his second wife in an apparent bid to hide his earlier marriage from her. Sameer Goel (37) was married and had three children when he tied the knot secretly for a second time with Shehnaz of Dibrugarh (Assam) after converting to Islam, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Deepak Ratan said. Sameer who has reportedly admitted having strangulated Shehnaz to death in a hotel room here said he took the extreme step as she insisted on meeting his family and parents.
