Karnal: A doctor was shot dead by robbers at his residence here, police said on Thursday. Ashwani Kumar was shot at after he resisted the attempt of the robbers to loot him on Wednesday night. A police patrol party, which reached his house on getting a call, rushed the doctor to a local hospital where he was declared brought dead. Mr. Kumar’s wife and the two children were present at the time of the incident. Police have registered a case.
