Estimates panel visits Villupuram

VILLUPURAM: The Estimates Committee of the State Assembly inspected various schemes being implemented by the government departments in Villupuram district on Thursday. The committee members, accompanied by Collector Brajendra Navnit, visited the model plot at Vikkiravandi, where a new technology is being adopted for raising paddy. Later, at Thenper, the members ascertained the efficacy of the drip irrigation system.

They also visited the Anna Government Arts College at Villupuram, the Ginjee Government Hospital and the Adi Dravidar schools at Kavarai, Melmalaiyanur and Valathi.
