KOCHI: K.M. Nooruddin, chairman of Alpha Charitable Trust of Thrissur, has been selected for the award for the best social worker, instituted by Care and Share, a social welfare organisation of Malayalis in the U.S. The award is being given in recognition of services rendered by the trust to cancer patients, said Tony Devassy, president of the organisation, at a press conference here on Thursday. The award, will be given away by the former Tamil Nadu Governor Fathima Beevi at the Kerala Sahithya Akademi Hall in Thrissur on Saturday. — Staff Reporter
