“Anti-people policies led to Congress defeat”

NEW DELHI: Stating that the Congress party’s defeat in the recent Assembly polls in Gujarat was a direct outcome of people’s resentment, Janata Dal (United) president Sharad Yadav warned that the Congress would face similar defeats if it did not reverse its anti-people and anti-farmer policies.

At a press conference, he said the United Progressive Alliance Government’s economic policies were responsible for the defeat in Gujarat. “The Congress is unable to analyse the election results in Gujarat because it does not want to see the obvious.
