Swetha wins
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Swetha Sreehari of Tamil Nadu won the girls’ singles title in the under-14 category in the AITA National junior talent series at the TTC courts here on Thursday.
Swetha defeated team-mate Shree Sanjana 6-3, 6-2 in the final. Pritish Kishorekumar (Ker) will meet Sibi Mon (TN) in the final in the boys’ under-16 section. Sai Avinash (TN) will meet Rithvik Anand (TN) in the final in the under-14 section.
The results (singles):
Boys (under-16): Semifinals: Pritish Kishorekumar (Ker) bt Sai Avinash (TN) 6-3, 2-6, 7-6; Sibi Mon (TN) bt Rithvik Anand (TN) 6-2, 6-4.
Under-14 (semifinals): Sai Avinash (TN) bt Aditya Bhat (Ker) 6-3, 7-5; Rithvik Anand (TN) bt Sibi Mon (TN) 6-2, 6-3.
Girls (under-14) finals: Swetha Sreehari (TN) bt Shree Sanjana (TN) 6-3, 6-2.
