Anup, Chetan to take part
NEW DELHI: Anup Sridhar, Chetan Anand and Saina Nehwal form the creamy layer of the field for the Pramod Mahajan all-India ranking badminton tournament to be held at the Siri Fort Sports Complex here from January 1 to 6.
The singles winners will get Rs. 1.10 lakh and the doubles champions in each section will be richer by Rs. 60,000.
Some of the leading names are:
Men: Anup Sridhar, Chetan Anand, P. Kashyap, Abhinn Shyam Gupta, Sanave Thomas, Rupesh Kumar, V. Diju, Anand Pawar, Jishnu Sanyal and Guru Sai Dutt.
Women: Saina Nehwal, Trupti Murgunde, Aditi Mutatkar, Ashwani Ponnapa, Nitya Sosale, Aparna Balan, Gayatri Vartak, Sayali Gokhale, Ruth Mishra and Dhanya Nair. — Special Correspondent
