Vanquish shines

BANGALORE: Vanquish, Running Bull and Alekona shone when the horses were exercised here on Thursday morning (Dec. 27).

Grass:

800m: Grand Madam (V. Patel), Gentle Knight (B. Prakash) 56, 600/42.5. They moved on the bit. Fantastic Quest (V. Patel), Mystic Dancer (B. Prakash) 55, 600/42. They moved fluently. Freedom Fighter (rb) 54.5, 600/42.5. Moved freely.

Outer sand:

800m: Zafar (Appu) 55, 600/43.5. Pleased. Running Bull (Ashwin) 55, 600/42.5. Impressed. Greens (rb), Lester (rb) 57, 600/45.5. They moved on the bit. Luckynumberslevin (rb), Hard Cash (Qureshi) 56.5, 600/43.5. Former finished four lengths ahead. Royal Hero (rb) 57, 600/44. Strode out well.

1,000m: Track Wonder (rb) 1-11.5, 800/57.5, 600/44. In fine trim.

1,200m: Woman In Charge (R. Marshall) 1-27.5, 1,000/1-12.5, 800/58, 600/46. Moved freely. Adamaris (C. Alford), Mafioso (S. Marshall) 1-26, 1,000/1-11.5, 800/57, 600/44. Former started six lengths behind and finished ten lengths ahead. Rio Bravo (rb) 1-27, 1,000/1-14, 800/59, 600/46. In fine shape.

1,400m: Royal Flynn (Appu), Super Spear (rb) 1-44.5, (1,400-600) 58. They finished level.

1,600m: Vanquish (S. Marshall) 1-56.5, 1,400/1-40.5, 1,200/1-26, 1,000/1-11.5, 800/56.5, 600/44. A fine display. Angelique (De Sousa) 1-59, 1,400/1-43, 1,200/1-28.5, 1,000/1-14.5, 800/59, 600/45.5. Moved well. Alekona (Harish) 1-52.5, 1,400/1-38.5, 1,200/1-23.5, 1,000/1-10, 800/56.5, 600/43. Moved attractively.
