Award for Vijay Chopra

Patiala: The National Theatre Arts Socirty (NTAS), Patiala, has conferred the Bhagat Munshi Ram Personality of the Year Award,2007, on senior journalist Vijay Kumar Chopra, Editor-in-chief of Hind Samachar, at a function in Baran village, 10km from here.

NTAS Director-General Pran Sabharwal, chief coordinator Shyam Lal Gupta Navyug and journalist Inderpreet Singh Baran presented the award which comprised a memento, a shawl and bouquets to Mr. Chopra in recognition of his ‘outstanding services’ towards independent journalism, humanity and providing funds for the terrorist-victim families.
