A matter of pride and prestige

This government hospital has invited attention for all the wrong reasons in the last one month.

However, after the turbulent times, since December 3 when doctors at Niloufer Hospital were allegedly attacked by MIM MLA Afsar Khan and his supporters, the doctors have to be given credit for reviving ‘faith’ in government medicare.

Apparently as a goodwill gesture, the hospital authorities are treating December 19, the day on which quadruplets and triplets were born in the hospital, as a red letter-day. The doctors are taking all possible steps to ensure that the new-borns recover from their under-weight conditions.

“It is a question of pride and prestige for us,” a doctor from the hospital said.
