Mela concludes

TIRUPUR: The four-day Rajasthani Mela organised by the Tirupur Sewa Samithi on Nanjappa school grounds here to showcase art and culture of Rajasthan concluded on Wednesday.

The samithi president, Rahul Todi, and the secretary, N.N. Sharma, said the mela attracted more than 20,000 visiters.

Coimbatore District Collector Neeraj Mittal and Tirupur Exporters Association president A. Sakthivel inaugurated the mela.

A team of 60 artists and dancers from Rajasthan performed various forms of dances, including Kalbelia dance, Ghoomer dance, 101 Kalash dance and Mayur dance.

A record creator for having biggest mustache and another who make 400 varieties of pan were the main attraction besides camel ride.

A range of Rajasthani food was another attraction.
