Estimates panel of Assembly to visit Tiruvannamalai

TIRUVANNAMALAI: The Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Estimates Committee headed by V. Mullaivendan, MLA, will visit Tiruvannamalai district on Friday.
It will inspect government institutions and discuss with the officials the implementation of various schemes.
According to a release from Collector Satyabrata Sahoo, the committee members will visit schools and students’ hostels functioning under the Department of Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare, the Government Arts College, Tiruvannamalai, the irrigation tank at Meyyur, the Government Seed Farm at Athiyendhal, the Regional Transport Office under construction at the Collectorate and the residential school at Keezhnachipattu. The committee members include Finance Minister K. Anbazhagan, chairman of the Public Accounts Committee K. Ramasamy, chairman of the Committee on Public Undertakings G.K. Mani, member secretary M. Selvaraj, joint secretary S. Balachandar, deputy secretary K. Indira and under secretary M. Subbulakshmi.
