Akshat scores double century

HYDERABAD: P. Akshath Reddy’s double century (208) and good bowling by Harsha Vardhan (seven for 66) helped Hyderabad grab the first innings lead against Jharkhand in the all-India Vijay Merchant Trophy u-17 Plate group cricket match in Rajkot on Thursday.

Hyderabad now has 15 points from four matches.

Hyderabad 445 for eight decl. (P. Akshath Reddy 208, L. Naveen Kumar 58, Sandeep Goud 53, M. Pradeep 49, K. Singh four for 83) drew with Jharkhand 158 (A. Sinha 61, Harsha Vardhan seven for 66) and 168 for six (P. Munda 73, C. Kamal 36).
