Changing tastes


Reality shows and religion seem to have taken over the prime-time viewing slots of television audiences.

If reality shows have begun to overwhelm and dull the sensibilities of viewers, serials based on religious themes or stories have made a strong comeback.

Till now, Hindu religion, with its array of powerful gods and goddesses and legends, was the one with the most potential for creativity for serial-makers. Now, some are now delving into the Bible and other wealth of stories related to Christianity.
