CPI(M) rally: traffic restrictions in place today

Thiruvananthapuram: Traffic restrictions will be imposed in the city from Friday afternoon in view of a rally to be taken out to mark the conclusion of the three-day district conference of the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M).

Traffic will be restricted at Vellayamblam, Museum, Palayam, Statue, Thampanoor, East Fort and Manacaud, the Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic) has said.

All vehicles coming through M.C. Road to the city will be diverted at Paruthipara junction. They will have to proceed via Muttada, Vayalikada, Kuravankonam, Kowdiar, Vellayambalam and Thycaud.

The vehicles coming through the NH 47 to the city will be diverted via Pattom, Marappalam, Kuravankonam, Kowdiar, Vellayambalam and Thycaud to Thampanoor. The vehicles coming from Nedumangad will be diverted from Vellayambalam and will have to proceed via Vazhuthacaud.

The vehicles proceeding from All Saints’ College and Pettah towards Thampanoor will have to proceed via Asan Square, Underpass and Bakery Junction.

All vehicles coming from Thiruvallam to Thampanoor will be diverted via Attakulangara, Killipalam and Thycaud flyover.

All vehicles from Thampanoor to M.C. Road will have to proceed via Bakery Junction, Underpass, General Hospital junction, Pattoor, Mulavana, Pottakuzhy and Pattom.

The vehicles proceeding to NH 47 will have to go via Bakery Junction, Underpass, General Hospital Junction, Pattoor, Nalumukku, Kannamoola and Medical College.

The vehicles from East Fort to Peroorkada will have to proceed via Thampanoor, Thycaud flyover, Mettukada, Xanadu and Vellayambalam.

The vehicles going to Pettah and Medical College from East Fort will have to proceed via Attakulangara, Killipalam, Thycaud flyover, Xanadu, Bakery Junction, Underpass and Asan Square.

The traffic police will divert all vehicles proceeding from Thampanoor to Thiruvallam through Thycaud flyover, Killipalam, Attakulangara and Manacaud.

The vehicles bringing in the activists will have to park on the Killipalam bund road, the Chakka bypass road, the Manaveeyam road (Althara-Keltron junction) and the Attakulangara bypass road.
