62 prosecuted for drunken driving

NEW DELHI: The traffic police have prosecuted 62 people for drunken driving on the Capital’s roads in the past three nights.

Armed with alco-meters, traffic policemen have been deployed on several stretches to target people driving in an inebriated state.

In another drive launched against commercial vehicles on Outer Ring Road and Ring Road, the traffic police have booked 19 vehicles for jumping traffic signal and endangering the life of others.
