Shoppers’ stop: Kochouseph Chittilappilly, MD, V-Guard, inaugurates MetroPlus Lifestyle Show-2007 in Kochi on Friday. KOCHI: The big shop for lifestyle products is back. The ten-day The Hindu-MetroPlus Lifestyle Showgot under way at the Kaloor international stadium ground on Friday. Kochouseph Chittilappilly, managing director of V-Guard Industries, and wife Sheela Kochouseph, managing director of V-Star Creations and Vintes Solutions, jointly inaugurated the show at 3.30 p.m. “It is a very good show and has evoked good response,” Mr. Chittilappilly said. The show aims at bringing together various retailers and manufacturers under one umbrella, thereby offering consumers a variety of categories and brands within each category to choose from. The presenting sponsor of the show is Samsung. The associate sponsors are Chevrolet, Ahsan perfumes, Asset Homes and Bismi Appliances. AVT Premium Tea is the beverage partner and Le Meridien, hospitality partner. NDTV 24X7 is the channel partner. The event management is by ICare Communications. The exhibition will remain open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The entry fee is Rs.20. The categories featured in the show are consumer electronics, home appliances, furniture and furnishing, perfumes and cosmetics, bathroom fittings, kitchen accessories, arts and handicrafts, automobiles and accessories, beauty and health, travel and tourism, fashion, textile and jewellery, computer and IT products, luxurious home needs and interiors, apartments and other allied products. There are nearly 200 stalls spread over an area of 2,404 sq.m. in two air-conditioned domes. Pavilions from Thailand exhibiting products like purses, costume jewellery, artificial flowers, watches and glares, dry flowers and mango wood vase, palm leaf flowers and decorative items will be a delight to the visitors. The stall of the Pakistan-based Onyx Stone will add to the international feel of the show. The show is considered a perfect opportunity for manufacturers and retailers to showcase products. The consumers will also benefit, as they will be offered the best competent prices.
