PUDUCHERRY: A team of hearing impaired persons from Puducherry has won the gold medal in the 15th National Basketball Championship of the Deaf held recently at Jaipur, Rajasthan. A release from the Pondicherry Sports Council of the Deaf said that 12 teams took part in the games and in the final match, the Puducherry team scored 42 points. Chief Minister N. Rangasamy felicitated the team members - Balamurugan, Bashith, Anantharao, Bhaskaran, Vinodkumar, Balaji, Saravanan, Dinasangam and Pratap.
