Sabarimala revenue registers fall

PATHANAMTHITA: Revenue collection at Sabarimala during the 41-day Mandalam festival was Rs.51.16 crore against the previous year’s Rs.53.95 crore, Travancore Devaswom Board sources at Sabarimala said. There was a slump in revenue from sale of Aravana; only Rs.15.55 crore against Rs.22.8 crore last year. Hundi collection (Kanikka) was Rs.22.8 crore against Rs.19.18 crore, sources said. — Staff Reporter
