CPI to resume land struggle from January 20

HYDERABAD: The State unit of the Communist Party of India will resume its land struggle from January 20, said State secretary K. Narayana.
At a press conference on Friday morning, he said the land struggle that saw a temporary break would be taken up with renewed focus.
The list containing particulars of the land, the party had already identified for distribution, would be submitted to the concerned authorities, he said.
Mr. Narayana said that the party would launch a campaign to mobilise Rs. 10 crore by contacting at least Rs. 10 per person from a crore of people between February 1 to 10.
This would be used for the party’s national congress to be hosted in Hyderabad by the State unit between March 23 and 27, 2008.
