Personal or business telegrams can be received while travelling in the more important trunk route trains on the Indian railways. According to an official press release, various railway administrations will announce shortly the routes on which this facility is to be provided and the date from which it will come into force. An urgent telegram service is already in vogue on the Western Railway, under which telegrams from Bombay for air-conditioned and first class passengers travelling by the Frontier Mail are accepted at the Bombay Central Station.
