Rotary lagging behind
HUBLI: Rotary English Medium High School (REMHS), Hubli, was trailing by 81 runs against Basel Mission English Medium School (BMEMHS), Dharwad, in the final of KSCA’s Dharwad Zone under-17 inter-schools cricket tournament at the Karnataka Gymkhana Ground in Hubli on Friday.
The scores: BMEMHS 230 in 57.3 overs (Bharat Itagi 81, C.H. Tejeshwar 60, K. Murali 5 for 75, S. Mallik 4 for 56) vs REMHS 149 for 5 in 43 overs (Kiran Deshpande 63 not out, Bharat Itagi 3 for 62).

A hat-trick by Deepak powered Modern Boys to a 3-0 victory over Bangalore Blues in the BDFA ‘C’ division football championship in Bangalore on Friday. Deepak struck in the 41st, 53rd and 60th minutes.
