MP demands holistic plan
Staff Reporter
TIRUPUR: Making a strong pitch for providing basic amenities in all the village panchayats that would be merged with Tirupur Corporation, K. Subbarayan, MP, on Thursday asked the State Government to prepare a Master Plan to create basic amenities after a scientific study. Mr. Subbarayan, who is also a resident of Tirupur, appealed to the Government to bring three more village panchayats – Mangalam, Iduvai and Mudalipalayam- into this jurisdiction.
Geographically, these areas are parts of Tirupur and they should merged with Tirupur, he demanded.
He said infrastructure around Tirupur should be given a fillip on a war-footing to cope with the growth. The MP wanted the authorities to plan it in a holistic manner.
