Minister reviews schemes

Parithi Ilamvazuthi

CHENNAI: Information and Publicity Minister Parithi Ilamvazhuthi on Friday reviewed the progress of schemes being implemented by the department here on Friday.

The Minister recalled that the department had done exceedingly well last year in implementing schemes it had drawn up and wanted officers and staff to think out of the box in reaching information on Government schemes to the people.

It was the duty of field-level officers to communicate to the people new and existing government schemes and project the achievements of the Government, he said.

Officers who had come from all districts of the State outlined the progress they had achieved and informed the Minister about the problems they were facing in implementing some policies. The Minister assured them that the problems would be sorted out soon.
