Former naxalite remanded to custody

Dharmapuri: A former naxalite, wanted in connection with a murder case, was produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate court here on Friday.

According to the police, Suresh alias Jestin (40) of Hanumantharayapuram in Dindigul district was rehabilitated by the Government. He was wanted in connection with a murder case at Krishnapuram near here.

A non-bailable warrant was pending against him for the past 10 years. Acting on a tip-off, a team arrested him at Dindigul recently. He was remanded to custody.
