Rupee little changed

MUMBAI: The rupee closed barely changed at 39.4250/4350 a dollar on Friday after moving in a narrow range during the day on stray month-end dollar demand from oil refiners amid slowdown in capital inflows. It closed at 39.4150.4250 a dollar on Thursday.

Asian markets were weak on fears of geopolitical uncertainty after the assassination of Pakistani opposition leader Benazir Bhutto.

In quiet trading at the interbank foreign exchange market, the Indian unit fluctuated between 39.42 and 39.47 after starting weak at 39.46/47. — PTI
