Mahindra holds Dempo

Margao: Defending champion Dempo and Mahindra United settled for a 1-1 draw in the eighth round of the ONGC I-League here on Friday.

Mahinda United took the lead in the 15th minute through K. Ajayan. Dempo equalised in the 19th minute through Nicholau Borges. Mahindra United keeper Sandip Nandy was declared Man-of-the-match.

Dempo leads the table with 18 points from 8 matches, while Mahindra United has 11 points from as many matches. — PTI
