Tiruvallur declared winner

CHENNAI: Tiruvallur was declared winner based on its first innings lead over Vellore in the two-day pre-quarterfinal match in the TNCA-P.R. Thevar Trophy under-17 tournament which ended on Friday.

Replying to Tiruvallur’s 178, Vellore, overnight 67 for four, was all out for 107. Tiruvallur in its second essay made 183 for six in 45.4 overs with C.K. Deepak Kumr top scoring with 69.

The scores:

Tiruvallur 178 and 183 for six in 45.4 overs (C.K. Deepak Kumar 69, Karthik Aditya 46, Rohit three for 53) vs Vellore 107 in 53.1 overs.
