THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Technopark-based animation firm Toonz Animation India has announced the release of its first animated 2D feature film ‘Return of Hanuman.’ Written and directed by Anurag Kashyap, the film is a sequel to India’s first animated 2D movie ‘Hanuman.’ In the sequel that was screened at the Kalabhavan theatre on Friday, Hanuman is reborn as ‘Maruti.’ The 90-minute film is a joint production of Toonz and Percept Picture Company. At a press conference here the other day, Toonz CEO P. Jayakumar said his company and Percept Pictures were working on ‘Hanuman 3’ which was “tentatively decided as a 3D film.” The ‘Return of Hanuman,’ now available in Hindi, will soon be dubbed into several languages.
