‘Dharitra’ awareness programmes
HYDERABAD: The Jana Vignana Vedika, Andhra Pradesh Council of Science and Technology and National Council of Science and Technology Communication, will jointly organise various awareness programmes across the State to mark the onset of ‘Dharitra’ 2008 (the year of planet earth).
According to a press release issued by T. Ramesh, general secretary of the Vedika, the programmes to be organised on January 3 include rallies, administering of a pledge and reading of messages by prominent scientists.
Harsh K. Gupta, scientific adviser to the government, on Saturday released a poster and publicity material for the Dharitra year. V.N. Tiwari, eminent geologist, B.N. Reddy, vice-president of the Vedika and Mr. Ramesh were present.
