DAVANGERE: The Davangere Police Mahila Kshemabivrudhi Sahakara Sangha (Policewomen’s Welfare Cooperative Society), in association with the Oxford Education Centre, has decided to conduct a free coaching camp for those seeking employment in the Police Department. The camp will be held from January 2 to 13 at the police community hall here. Speaking to presspersons here on Saturday, Kathyayini Murthy, president of the sangha, and office-bearers Nirmala Jagadish and Meghana Niranjan said that the sangha had realised that many candidates who had applied for posts of constable could not afford to pay the hefty fees charged by some institutions. Therefore, it had decided to train candidates in aspects such as general knowledge to prepare them for the written examinations. The sangha had recruited people to guide the aspirants. Those interested in the camp should contact K.R. Siddappa of the Oxford Education Centre, Ananya Plaza, opposite St. Paul’s Convent, P.J. Extension (phone: 9880732949).
