State move will not bring down cement price: PMK

CHENNAI: The State Government’s proposal to sell imported cement to contractors and builders will not help bring down the price and if it is really interested in helping people it should sell cement through public distribution system, Pattali Makkal Katchi leader S. Ramadoss said on Saturday. He said the Government had announced that it would sell the imported cement in bulk to contractors at Rs.185 per bag against the maket price of Rs.260.
