Directive to self-financing medical colleges
Staff Reporter
Thiruvananthapuram: The government has asked the managements of self-financing medical colleges to ensure that all students who are admitted to the government seats in these institutions sign the bond that they will undergo one year’s compulsory rural service (CRS) in the health care institutions in the public sector.
At a meeting called here on Saturday by Health Minister P.K. Sreemathy, the government asked the managements to get the bond for CRS from students at the time of admission.
The managements of about 15 to 20 self-financing medical, dental, Ayurveda and Homoeo colleges took part in the meeting.
