‘Efforts on to spread Brahmo principles’

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: The 117th annual session of Brahmo Samaj with the theme, “Strengthening Brahmo Way of Life”, began here on Friday.

Nearly 150 delegates from all over the country are participating in the three-day conference. Sushama Joag, president of the conference and trustee of Pune Prarthana Samaj, said it was an opportunity for all Brahmos and prarthana sabhas to come together on a common platform and share their views.

“For strengthening the Brahmo way of life, we need to explore new ways to practice the Brahmo principles effectively. Our efforts towards strengthening the Brahmo way of life should not be confined to fellow Brahmos, but should involve society at large of which we are a part. These efforts are to be taken at two levels, individual and institutional,” she said.
