TULF condemns Benazir’s killing

Special Correspondent

CHENNAI: Tamil United Liberation Front president V. Anandasangaree on Saturday condemned the assassination of the former Pakistan Prime Minister, Benazir Bhutto, and said the hopes of the people of Pakistan of a return to democracy had been shattered with her death.

“A few blood thirsty men in every country want to keep their people under their subjugation without any justification,” he said in a statement. “Those who condone their activities and glorify them should themselves change their attitude towards terrorism.”

The time had come for every one in every country to condemn terrorism and give all help to eradicate it, he said, and urged the media to play a key role in “eradicating terrorism with determination.”
