Haripad Youngsters in last four
HARIPAD: Host Haripad Youngsters CC and Cycle Brand Kids CC (Thiruvananthapuram) moved into the semifinals of the K.K. Sreenivasan memorial all-Kerala cricket tournament at the GBHS ground here on Saturday.
In the quarterfinals, Haripad Youngsters defeated Murgan CC by five wickets, while Cycle Brand Kids squeezed out a four-run win over Youngsters CC (Changanassery).
The scores: Murugan CC 228 for nine in 30 overs (Jayakanth 73) lost to HYCC (Haripad) 233 for five in 30 overs (Dhanesh 79 not out, Sreekesh 41 not out); Kids CC (Thiruvananthapuram) 178 in 25 overs (V.S. Shiju 50) bt Youngsters CC 174 in 24.3 overs (Jeevan 51).
