CHENNAI: Indians had a good day in the Scottish Junior Open squash championship with five players moving into the semi-final round.

The results:

Girls’ U-17: Quarterfinals: Anwesha Reddy bt Emma Molyneux (Eng) 9-3, 9-0, 9-1; U-15: Quarterfinals: Aparajitha Balamurukan bt Katie Bradbury (Wales) 9-2, 9-2, 9-5.

Boys’ U-19: Quarterfinals: Harinder Pal Singh bt Carsten Schoor (Ger) 9-1, 9-5, 9-0. Third round: Vikram Malhotra lost to Todd Harrity (U.S.) 4-9, 4-9, 9-6, 7-9.

U-17: Pre-quarterfinals: Karan Malik bt Samuel Allan (Scot) 4-9, 9-5, 9-3, 9-0; Ravi Dixit lost to Allaa Radwan (Egy) 7-9, 9-3, 9-5, 5-9, 4-9; Ramit Tandon lost to Christopher Ferguson (Scot) 3-9, 1-9, 1-9, 3-9.

U-15: Quarterfinals: Mahesh Mangaonkar bt Joshua Sekhar (Can) 9-4, 4-9, 9-1, 7-9, 9-3.
