Dibrugarh: A hardcore ULFA insurgent was killed and another injured in an encounter with army in upper Assam’s Tinsukia district on Saturday. A group of four ULFA militants hurled a grenade at the troops of the 6 J&K Regiment but none was hurt. The personnel retaliated and one insurgent was killed while another got hurt at around, a defence spokesman told PTI from the operation ground at Kulabari, in upper Assam’s Tinsukia district. The other two militants escaped.
