BU Foundation Day on January 2

BERHAMPUR: Berhampur University will honour three eminent personalities of South Orissa on its 42nd Foundation Day on January 2.

The personalities to be honoured are Krushna Chandra Bauxipatra, Purna Chandra Mishra and Premananda Barik. Mr. Bauxipatra was a freedom fighter. Mr. Mishra of Berhampur was among the few initial journalists active in this region after independence. Mr. Barik of Kavisuryanagar in Ganjam district is a well known writer and social activist.
