Shanta Rao dead

BANGALORE: Classical dancer Shanta Rao (81) died here on Friday following cardiac arrest. Ms. Rao, an exponent of Bharathanatyam’s Pandamallur style and the only performer of Mohiniattam, was the first Indian to study Kondayam dancing in Sri Lanka.
