Excise team unearths liquor unit

BANGALORE: The Excise inspectors have unearthed an illegal liquor production unit near Kengeri on Mysore Road and have recovered goods and machinery estimated at Rs. 4 lakh and arrested three persons. They have recovered 20 boxes of spirit, 20 boxes of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL), two cans of blend, labels and bottles. The raid was carried out in the afternoon on Saturday.
The arrested persons have been identified as Madhu alias Manju, Hanumanthappa and Hanumanthu bin Manjappa all from Shimoga district and are under 25 years of age.
Another Babu alias Babanna was absconding. The raid was carried out under the guidance of Joint Commissioner of Excise Bangalore K.M. Ramakrishna and inspector Hyder Ali Khan.
