Restrictions on traffic today

NEW DELHI: In view of a “Mahasammelan” being organised by Shri Rameshwaram Ram Setu Raksha Manch at Swaran Jyanti Park in Sector 11 of Rohini here this Sunday, elaborate traffic arrangements have been planned by the Delhi police.

The police have advised people to avoid Outer Ring Road from Chandgi Ram Ka Akhara-Mukarba Chowk to Peera Garhi Chowk, Ring Road from Ashram Chowk Rajghat to Chandgi Ram Ka Akhara, Ring Road from Dhaula Kuan to Wazirpur Depot, National Highway-8 from Rajokari Border to Dhaula Kuan, Mathura Road from Badarpur Border to Ashram Chowk, and National Highway-24 from Ghazipur Border to Hazrat Nizamuddin Bridge.

Other roads that are expected to witness congestion are G.T. Road, Bhagwan Mahavir Marg in Rohini and Pitampura area and K.N. Katju Marg in Rohini area.

These traffic restrictions would hold between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. and then from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Except for local residents and participants, entry of vehicles around the venue would be restricted on Ram Murti Passi Marg, Bhagwan Parshu Ram Marg, Bhagwan Mahavir Marg and Dr. K.N. Katju Marg.

The police have also stated that from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. the carriageway leading to Japanese Park in Rohini Sector 11 on all the above-mentioned roads should be avoided.
