Boy falls from terrace, dies

CHENNAI: A 10-year-old schoolboy, Sanjay Kumar, succumbed to injuries he sustained after falling from the terrace of a building on Uttukottan Street in Periamet.

According to police, Sanjay, who was living with his mother Amudha at his uncle’s house in Kadappa Venkaiah Street, had gone to play with friends on Friday.

He apparently slipped and fell off the terrace as the parapet wall was low, and injured his head.

The incident happened at around 10.30 a.m. Sanjay was admitted to the Government General Hospital where he succumbed to injuries on Saturday around 2.50 a.m.
