Piped water supply suspended

CHENNAI: Piped water supply has been suspended to Kattur Nallamuthu Street, Govindan Street, and Kulandai Street in Thattankulam in Choolai area in North Chennai, said a release of Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board issued on Saturday.

Earlier in the week, residents in the area had complained that piped water was not potable. The Board has since then advised the residents to stop using piped water and drinking water is being supplied through Metrowater tankers to the affected area. The Board is also inspecting complaints of leakage and chlorine tablets have been distributed.
