Traffic curbs tomorrow

BANGALORE: The Traffic Police have imposed restriction on entry and movement of vehicles in and around M.G. Road on the night of December 31, in view of the revellers who will throng the area on New Year’s Eve.

Entry and parking of vehicles, except police and emergency service vehicles, is banned from 8 p.m. on December 31 to 1 a.m. on January 1 on the following roads: M.G. Road from Anil Kumble Circle to the junction with Residency Road near Mayo Hall; Brigade Road from Cauvery Emporium Junction to Opera Junction; Church Street from its junction on Brigade Road up to the junction of Museum Road; Museum Road from its junction with M.G. Road up to its junction with Old Madras Bank Road; Rest House Road from its junction on Museum Road till its junction on Brigade Road; Kamaraj Road from Cauvery Emporium Junction to Cubbon Road and Residency Cross Road to M.G. Road Symphony Theatre Junction. Vehicles parked on roads in these areas should be removed before 4 p.m., on December 31.

Many flyovers in the city — Mysore Road, Richmond Circle, National College, Ananda Rao Circle and Banaswadi — will be closed for traffic from 9 p.m. on December 31 to 5 a.m. on January 1.

Parking of vehicles is allowed on both sides of Kamaraja Road from its junction on Cubbon Road till Commercial Street junction; King’s Road inside Cubbon Park and Shivajinagar Bus Station area.
